About Fur Heaven’s Sake & Furbay

In October 2022, Fur Heaven’s Sake became a 501 (c) (3 Animal Charity whose sole mission was to raise money for ‘other animal charities.’ To achieve this, new concepts needed to be introduced alongside the traditional ones that had been relied upon for many years. 

Time changes many things, for better or worse, and community animal charities were left to compete with national and international animal welfare organizations competing for dwindling dollars. Communities were faced with new challenges to keep their doors open, meet community needs, and provide humane programs for the animals that share our communities.

Our Mission Statement:   By researching the benefits of “Common-Cause” marketing, Fur Heaven’s Sake & Furbay uses the philosophy, mission, and programs of those that have been successfully used by many other fundraising programs over the years. 

We CAN benefit one segment of our community while benefiting others. A couple of examples:

I: Common-cause fundraising principles focus on the shared goals and values that drive people to contribute to causes. These principles can be applied across a wide range of causes, from animal welfare to education or environmental conservation. Here are some key principles that guide effective common-cause fundraising:

II: Mutual Benefit Win-Win Relationships: Common-cause fundraising seeks to create a mutually beneficial environment where both donors and recipients feel fulfilled. Donors often receive recognition or gratitude, while the community or cause benefits from the funding they provide. 

In short, common-cause fundraising focuses on rallying individuals, organizations, and communities around a shared vision to address social challenges and drive change. It’s rooted in values of transparency, inclusivity, and sustainability while fostering a culture of collaboration and long-term engagement.

Furbay is the marketing platform of Fur Heaven’s Sake that allows us all, animal charities, community businesses, sponsors, and advocates for animals to ‘benefit using ‘common-cause’ principles. A brief outline below explains how, with detailed information on our website, www.furbay.org

 Furbay Is How We Do It:

I: All memberships in Furbay are free!  

Animal charities, businesses, and the general public can become free members. This combined membership base attracts sponsors and donors that reach a market of animal lovers for their products and services. This revenue is used to support local animal charities. Most importantly, Furbay memberships provide a strong network of common interests shared by all animal charities, organizations, staff, and volunteers who need the collective help of others.

II: How do Furbay animal charity members benefit?

Furbay generates revenue through various means, including raffles, sweepstakes, auctions, and special fundraising events. Revenue gained is shared with our animal charity members. Special attention is paid to priority needs, including medical expenses to save animals, spay & neuter programs, and more. But all our members will have access as a Furbay Charity Member!

• Not required, but our animal charity members can, if they choose, help promote these fundraising events within their members and social media communities. Furbay pays twenty percent (20%) of all raffle or sweepstake tickets it sells and promotes for Furbay events.  
• Plus, Furbay will award at least one ‘Bonus Prize’ to the charity that sells the winning ticket!  (As Furbay membership grows, we add more charity rewards for their support.)

• Furbay Animal Charity members can count on Furbay helping to ‘support and promote’ their fundraising events. Again, using common-cause principles, ‘if one benefits, we can all benefit. Furbay will help sell tickets for their events and offer them to our other Furbay members to promote as well. 

Furbay significantly expands the revenue potential for all our charity members, enabling them to increase ticket sales for their events. All our animal charity members can help one another promote their raffles and fundraising events.

 Each Furbay charity member offers 20% (twenty percent) of the ticket prices sold by other charity members. Furbay charity members can earn a continuous source of revenue throughout the year. And the potential revenue for their events is greatly increased in return!

Our Sponsorship Levels are affordable for both large and small businesses, offering equal opportunities to promote your business and your community involvement in an often overlooked segment of our community. We believe your support will reap rewards many times over. 

I: Bronze Level - $300

• Logo placement on our Furbay.org website.
•  Sponsorship Certificate for Business or Personal Display (8x10).
• A ‘Thank You” posting on our social media networks.

II: Silver Level - $500

Includes all Bronze benefits, plus:

• Your store or business link on our sponsorship pages.
• Sharing a story of how your business helped one or more community animal charities. Featured on our website's "Story Pages" and "Sponsorship Pages."

III: Gold Level - $750

Includes all Silver benefits, plus:

• Event logo placement.
• A personalized message or video to Furbay promoting your business and your support for animal charities—shared on our website and social media.
• As a Gold Sponsor, you are also eligible to receive ‘bonus tickets’ for our raffles and sweepstakes

 throughout the year. For every ticket you purchase, you will receive a bonus one!

IV: Platinum Level - $1000

Includes all Gold benefits, plus:

• A Platinum Level Sponsor is eligible for ‘two bonus tickets’ for every one purchased for one of our events,

throughout the year of being a sponsor. 

• Opportunity to host or co-host an event with Furbay.

Buck, this is a follow-up to the CMS example, except for a graph of our levels. I do like the way they ‘summarized’ their levels with generic benefits tailored for city restaurants, etc., for $500.  We could do the same with some variation of theirs. I wanted to discuss it first before doing it. I’m not sure I understand the ‘distinction’ between this and being an actual sponsor.
